Midnight Sun arrived in 2025 as Zara Larsson's fifth album, its success mostly driven by 'Stateside', her storied collaboration with PinkPantheress, which shot to the top Hot 100 chart spot after figure skater Alyssa Liu skated to it at the Winter Olympics. Production maestro and newly minted industry playhead MNEK co-wrote all ten tracks and produced seven of them, alongside Margo XS and Helena Gao in a tight core team. Now comes Girls Trip just a year later: it's an all-female remix companion, each Midnight Sun track reimagined with a different collaborator, familiar or welcomed anew: PinkPantheress, Kehlani, Shakira, Tyla, Robyn, Madison Beer, Bambii, JT and others.

Zara Maria Larsson (born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer-songwriter and actress. She gained national recognition in 2008 after winning the second season of Talang, the Swedish adaptation of the Got Talent format.
Larsson signed with TEN Music Group in 2012, releasing her debut EP Introducing in 2013 with the chart-topping single "Uncover" that hit number one in Scandinavia and earned six-times Platinum in Sweden.
