Vocal Deep House 4 Tracker - 'Keep Stepping!' is the follow up to 2025’s 'Away' EP which saw Jaime establish himself as a dynamic new producer with an exciting future.
Whereas his debut EP, 'Away' has deep connections to Jaime’s home in rural Kent, 'Keep Stepping!' is an EP with the city in mind. Inspired by Jaime's time living in South London, the EP takes inspiration from London’s soundsystem sonics with Rosso mixing in bright melodies and dreamlike atmospherics to create a sound of his own. Much like the hum of the capital, there is an underlying groove that flows through it, whilst Jaime’s playful production keeps the music sounding buoyant and fresh. Influenced by the exuberant atmosphere of summer in the city, 'Keep Stepping!' embraces positivity and the importance of getting out of your own head and engaging with the community around you.
Margate maestro Jaime Rosso broke through last year with the brilliant 'Away' EP, a collection of cuts reportedly inspired by recording in rural Kent. According to Domino, the long-establish independent music titan releasing his music, this hotly anticipated follow-up recalls an earlier period in his life, when he was living in South London. You can clearly hear the influence of the city's soundsystem culture, with Rosso combing bass-heavy grooves with his own "dream-like" sonics. 'Walk', for example, sees him pepper a chunky house breakbeat and dubby, sub-heavy bassline with sparkling electronic melodies, his own eyes-closed vocals and the dreamiest of chords. 'Speak', meanwhile, goes deeper on the South London sound, with rumbling sub-heavy, soca-influenced house beats and subtle nods to the '140' wave of the late noughties and early 2010s.
